Potential
is to me the
ultimate not yet
that draws futures
into our active present
with the suggestive power
that promises to create effects
which are both vague & expansive  

Potential is
condition for:
the capacity to act
the existence of hope,
dreams, inspiration & desire
for creativeness everywhere plus
the motivation and confidence to trust
in the possibility to unsettle the status quo
triggering tantalising visions of change
towards a desired transformation
to make a difference to others’
and our own lives today
into the open not yet
of latent futures,
our futurity

It is relational, interactive & dynamic
and it depends on a triple relation
of the thing, actor and context
Pregnant with promise, yet  
without certainty, that is
key to the futurity
of potential
for me
